I started this book with some trepidation. I enjoy Mercy Celeste books, but some of them are very hard to read. This one was no exception. It was not a happy everyone feels good kind of story. It was raw with emotion. There were parts of the book that was very hard to read, and I had to put it down a few times to take a break before reading more. My heart ached for the MC's Eli and Creed. Rivals on the Rodeo Circuit for years. Both of them are very emotionally damaged. This story is not for the faint of heart. Some of the scenes depict graphic violence. Mercy Celeste is known for angsty stories and this one did not disappoint.… (más)
