Cole, Dean M. Amplitude. E-book ed., Cantor Press, 2019. Dimension Space 3.
Will Vaughn and Angela get the Earth a do-over and save it from the alien hordes? Let’s just say that I would not be surprised if they show up next time as companions to Dr. Who. The books in this series are best when they stick closest to near-future reality. 3 stars.

The publisher’s blurb on Dennis M. Cole’s Solitude makes big claims: “I Am Legend meets Gravity and The Martian when Earth's last man discovers that the last woman is stranded alone aboard the International Space Station.” Woman on the space station, so Gravity, check. Improvisational science and engineering, so the Martian, check. Human beings vanish from Earth, and one survivor, so I Am Legend, check. We also have robots, a space-time-gravity anomaly, dimension-hopping, and orbital rescue. So, yes, plenty of tropes. I wish the prose were better, and I will have to read the next one to discover how the plot resolves. 3.5 stars.… (más)

Sector 64, Book 1

I read the prequel and really enjoyed it and this was good too! A different first contact. More what would really happen, destruction! Two fighter pilots, that happen to be lovers, are thick in the fight. Non-stop action, lots of suspense, thrills, and unpredictable situations. Enjoyed it!
RC Bray awesome as usual!

Sector 64: First Contact: A Sector 64 Prequel Novella
(Sector 64 #0.5)
by Dean M. Cole

Great prequel! This got me interested in the story right away! This is set back in time a bit to after WWII. The nukes attracted attention of beings that have been monitoring life here. When one crashes and a military guy finds her, things get crazy.

He could turn her in or help her. He decides to help. It's a short but awesome story!
