A short narrative poem about the wise men's camels journey to Bethlehem following the stars, it is told from the perspective of a camel. Additionally, it tells the function and job of what camels do in the real world from serving people on their back to traveling across vast deserts. The style of this book is narrative as it contains a narrative voice of the camel. This poem is written in a form of free verse without any rhyme scheme and rhythm. All in all, it is very easy, simplistic, and lovely to read and enjoy. This is a good book to incorporate for young children to read because of the low difficulty it is to read for beginners of poetry.… (más)

This book shows the history of a young boy's grandfather who wondered the same woods as he did now as a young boy. He speaks about the things his father saw when he was a child in the same forest that he lives in. He explains how different things were for his grandfather and how many more animals he witnessed than he does. One day when Mark wonders the forest to try and find animals, he finds something even more special.

I'm sorry but this book was just awful. I didn't like it and I don't think children will enjoy it either. Its about a boy living in the woods that at the end discovers indians living in the woods. I think this may be the worst book I've read in a while. I don't think there is a lesson to be learned from it to relate back to kids.

Two sisters and a brother, living in New England, have adventures around the calendar. This is an unremembered gem--there's not a strong plot, but it's an enjoyable series of sketches.
