1417 History of Senatorial Elections in Iowa, by Dan Elbert Clark (read 10 Nov 1976) This studies Senatorial elections in Iowa up thru 1912--when such elections were by the Legislature. The book is rather formally written, and with little verve, but actually I enjoyed the account much. There are 18 chapters, one for each election before 1900 (in 3 years there were double elections) and a single chapter for the 5 elections between 1900 and 1912. It would be fun to read a study of the elections since 1912.… (más)
