Excellent picture book to reinforce the importance to "think before you speak". Student will enjoy this funny book with humorous illustration that has a great message. Amera is having a bad day after her best friend said mean things and ruined her cupcake. Amera's mom wants her to taste her words, so she can realize that her mean words feel bad and make others feel bad too. Before the story ends, Amera knows the importance of making her words taste better. She would rather have her words taste sweet rather than like rotten eggs or spoiled milk. In this book Amera is having a bad day and says some not so kind things. She learns the power of words and that saying mean things don't make her or those around her feel any better.
