This is a great little science book, astronomy book for kids. In fact the entire series was good. It may be a little outdated as they are considering Pluto to still be a planet but overall, for the 100,000 foot overview these books are very factual and they help keep the young reader's interest.

All of the books are formulaic. Starting off at the beginning with a Word Hunt. Words are bolded so that the young reader can look for them in the context of the book. The print is a good size print allowing the young reader to follow along with their finger and sound out the words.

The pictures are spectacular giving the young reader something to look at to correlate with the facts being given to them.

And the end gives you a "Your new words" section so they can review. It even includes a small index so that a child can learn how to use an index. Very well put together concept for a book for a young reader interested in astronomy.
