I bought this in Jesup Georgia in 1985 when my daughter was an intern from UGA at the local newspaper. I was looking for a local author with local background. It is a about the Georgia pine country and forestry, but there is nothing romantic about the hard conditions under which the people live. It is a hard, sad life, and this is a hard, sad Southern story showing the "burden of Southern history", My copy is autographed by the author.
