Wild is the stunning conclusion to the Montana Men series. As badly as I needed to know how everything unfolded, this was one series I did not want to see end. After all the shocking twists that were delivered in the first 4 books, I didn't think there could be much more in store for our friends in Rimrock, Montana but boy was I ever wrong. The author continued to tease us and kept us hanging from the edge of our seats right to the very end.

As with all the other books in this series, Book 5 continued to build upon the first 4 and should not be read as a standalone nor should any of these books be read out of order as they will make absolutely no sense to the reader. It was such an incredible, moving series that I highly recommend reading them all back to back.

Both of the main characters, Jayla and Wild, struck a chord with me. We gradually met Wild throughout the entire series but I had no clue at just how deep his emotions ran and the burdens he was carrying around with him. They both impressed me greatly. For Jayla to have grown up under such horrific conditions and turn into the incredible woman that she became was simply amazing. After being betrayed by Jayla as a young man and sent to prison Wild had a lot of baggage he needed to overcome. These two wounded souls needed to come back to each other in order to fully heal and finally come to terms with the ghosts of their pasts.

With all of the plot directions and characters throughout 5 books going in so many different ways, I was astounded at how well the author kept track of everything. Not once did I ever feel confused or overwhelmed, frustrated at times yes most definitely as I swear Ms. Chelcee is the queen of the cliffhanger, but never did I feel there was way too much going on. I loved the way the stories built upon each other and we continued to meet new characters but still stayed a part of the lives of the past characters as well.

All in all, this was an incredible addition to a phenomenal series. It did feel bittersweet however as I did not want the series to end. It does appear we will get to visit with Taylor and Dianna in a new Australian based series that I am eagerly waiting to be released. Ms. Chelcee has definitely gained a new fan and I look forward to reading her entire back list and all that is released in the future.

Playing for Keeps is Book 4 in the Montana Men series by Jaydyn Chelcee. I do not recommend reading it as a standalone. The entire series should be read straight from the beginning, back to back if at all possible. Be forewarned however that this series does include scenes of murder, rape and sexual assault.

It was wonderful to finally get some closure on past issues involving our friends in Rimrock, Montana. Although, before the smoke could even clear on the past issues and everyone had a chance to rejoice, a whole new set of shocking details were revealed that left everyone reeling.

As with all the other books in this series, be prepared to experience a wide range of emotions ranging from disbelief, devastation, joy, determination and happiness to name a few. The author has a way of writing that brought all of the characters to life, good and bad, and pulled me directly into the story. Even though it took me a little bit too warm up to this series in Book 1, once my attention was grabbed, that was it I was hooked. I could not read these books fast enough.

The main focus this time around surrounded the assassination of the First Lady. The assassin tracked down a witness to the murder at CIA Headquarters. After getting caught in the crossfire Flayme barely escaped with her life when Duel jumped in and whisked her away to safety. Not knowing who was after her however, she did not place her trust in him immediately but instead gave him a run for his money and certainly kept him on his toes.

Flayme was exactly the type of heroine I enjoy reading about. Despite the hardships she has faced growing up she is not bitter but a very likeable, determined, kick butt kind of woman. This is strongly evidenced in the scene where the assassin caught up to them at the cabin.

All in all, this was another incredible edition to the Montana Men series that kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time and the cliffhanger ending ensured I was eagerly anticipating reading Book 5, Wild.

Too Hot to Handle/Too Close to the Fire is actually 2 stories wrapped in one and Book 3 of the Montana Men series. First we have Too Hot to Handle which picks up where Book 2 left off with Dianna and Taylor crashing their plane in the Australian Outback. Too Close to the Fire also picks up where Book 2 left off however this time we finally gain some insight with regard to the knock your socks off twist that left us reeling last time. I highly recommend this entire series be read in order and if you are anything like me, you will want all books in the series that have been released on hand so you can just keep reading.

After crashing their plane, suffering countless injuries and no help for thousands of miles, Taylor and Dianna had to do their best to overcome all these obstacles in their path to make it out alive. There was some major on the edge of your seat, nail biting suspense. I adored Dianna's character. She was a tough as nails woman but definitely had a sensitive side. After being injured in a car accident, Taylor had a lot of issues that he needed to overcome. Not just physically but mentally as well. He was a very angry individual at times and the sparks definitely flew between these two.

Even though the 2 main characters crash their plane and end up stranded in an uninhabited part of Australia that is crawling with lots of lethal critters, there were some lighthearted parts as well. Such as the type of debris Taylor was struck in the chest with or the cracks made about Dianna's tampons. The banter between these two brought the story to life. I would also like to mention that as with the other books so far in this series, this portion of the story does end with a cliffhanger.

One thing I noticed with regard to Too Close to the Fire was that the blurb was extremely vague. I had no clue going in what it was even about. There is definitely a reason for this and I refuse to spoil the story by sharing it either. Let's just say I could not put this story down. I read it in one day! Even though we have already met the characters involved, it was great getting to know them more intimately by reading each of their thoughts and feelings. While I feel the saga for these characters may not be over, I was very satisfied with the conclusion and look forward to reading more about them in future novels.

No Holds Barred is the perfect title for this story. Ms. Chelcee did not hold anything back in this 2nd installment of the Montana Men series. This is a continuation of Book 1 and I do not recommend reading it as a standalone. After you have read Book 1 and are ready to take the plunge, be sure to fasten your seatbelt because you are going on a wild ride.

First I would like to give a word of caution to the reader. While this book drew me in and captivated me from Page 1, it does contain some horror, rape, sexual assault type scenes that are not for the faint of heart. Shock, heartbreak and agony were just a few of the emotions I experienced. There were definitely some twists where I swear my jaw hit my knees. The author completely blew me away.

Even though I have focused on some of the darker sides of the story, I loved getting to know Jace and Kaycee and watching their relationship develop. Jace was the classic "wounded" hero that you could not help but root for and love. Kaycee was a strong, independent woman who was in over her head and needed the extra support Jace was willing to offer her.

While we did meet some of the secondary characters in book 1, we gain a bit more insight into their lives with this novel. We got to know Duel and Wild much better this time around and I look forward to reading their stories. Next however will be Taylor and Dianna's story. Considering Taylor's chip on his shoulder attitude I bet it will be interesting to say the least.

As with Book 1, this story does end with a cliffhanger so be prepared to continue on with the series if you want to know how it turns out. With the twists the author took this time around, there will be no hesitation on my part getting my hands on Book 3.
