audiobook read by authir (~4 hrs) nonfiction/memoir by buzzfeed writer and cancer survivor

as Erin was still a young 20-something when she wrote this, the scope of it is limited to her experiences being diagnosed with (very treatable) Hodgkins lymphoma at the age of 19, meeting her apparent life partner at the age of 14, returning to her sophomore year at Boston University around age 21 and other things in between. it's short but entertaining enough, as you would expect.

Written by a River Dell grad. Charming read.

I found out about this book through a series of fortuitous events, and I am so glad Erin Chack decided to write it. This book was so relatable for anyone who has gone through a difficult experience, especially the part about not wanting to "un-normal" everything. The book is hilarious at times, but you can also tell how deeply the author cares about her family and friends, which made it heart warming as well. What a resilient, genuine human being. I can't wait to see what she does next.

Maybe a good fit for older teens looking for a memoir that deals with illness but also college life and growing up? It's got a really companionable voice and plenty of shenanigans, but there's also a zillion fbombs. I've seen this shelved as YA all over, and while the story is about a teen/twenty-something I'm not positive that it reads as YA. Maybe? I might also be having some trouble because it's not really my kind of story. Ymmv.
