This little booklet provides a recap of what the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) is about. It is a community of believers who are in the process of "being built into a spiritual house." (1 Peter 2.4-5, 9)

After a brief recap of the history of the Disciples, Carson describes for basic tenets of the community:

1) Primacy of the New Testament
2) Priesthood of All Believers
3) Pursuit of Christian Unity
4) Promise of the Open Table

He concludes by describing his "Passion for the Future," that is, what he hopes will happen to the community of believers.

This booklet is a quick overview for persons interested in learning some basic facts about the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).
