Andrew Carnegie was a nineteenth-century steel tycoon who became one of the twentieth century's most famous philanthropists. His life story is a rags-to-riches account matched by few in United States history. After his retirement he became a philanthropist who donated hundreds of millions of mostrar más dollars and created more than 20 organizations dedicated to improving the human condition. He also created Carnegie Corporation of New York, endowing it with the largest single philanthropic trust ever established up to that time in order to support benefactions after his death. The Gospel of Wealth Essays and Other Writings… por Andrew Carnegie

Skipped the eponymous essay because Carnegie was a social Darwinist. I read the essay on 'how to become a man of business', which I liked.

The autobiography of Andrew Carnegie por Andrew Carnegie

A story of a man from humble beginnings, born in Dunfermline, Scotland, who rose to become one of the richest men in the world. Who then retired and tried to give it all away and along the way rubbed shoulders with some of the luminaries of the age. Sometimes comes off as too good to be true but on the face of it a great man.

The Autobiography of Andrew Carnegie and the Gospel… por Andrew Carnegie

This was an unexpected find and useful read; despite the age of the book there are hidden gems and universal principles to success to be found within. Admittedly, being an autobiography, it tends to paint a rosy of picture of Mr. Carnegie's life, but still work a read about a pivotal Industrialist and businessman in the 19th century.
