I really liked reading this collection even though I am not in the age range it was written for. The dialogue between the characters was fun and realistic.

It was really cool that the girls are all different ages, ranging from nine to fourteen and it adds an unexpected perspective to the story. I also liked how they all had very distinct personalities and came from different parts of the United States.

The character development was great but Bailey and many other characters acted way older than their ages.

One thing that was a bit disappointing was that this collection has nothing to do with series order. Instead, the books are sorted by character.

I can 100% say that this would have been a favorite of mine when I was younger.

*I was given a copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.

I am loving reading these collections of mystery stories for young readers! These books are so full of fun and adventure and page turning events. This particular volume of the Camp Club Girls series is by a new-to-me author, Linda Carlblom, and let me tell you that she did a terrific job! I loved every minute of this book.

This collection is Bailey’s adventures. I loved that Carlblom featured The Stanley Hotel in one of Bailey’s stories. As a long time fan of all things Ghost-y, my son and I loved watching the Ghost Hunters episode of The Stanley Hotel. Bailey’s adventure there brought back the memories of that for sure. I loved watching Bailey, Kate and Biscuit search for clues, and try to solve the mystery.

That’s just one of the four stories in this collection. Each one features Bailey and one of her camp friends, and they all seek to solve the mystery. Each story is filled with fun for readers of all ages, but are geared toward the ages of 8-14. These stories are beautifully written, and help to teach the rights and wrongs of growing up, along with messages from God.

If you have a young reader in your life, this is perfect for them. They will be captivated and taken on the adventurous fun that these girls have, and will likely want to be just like them. Once again, another modern day Nancy Drew collection for today’s kids. Definitely worthy of 4 stars and high recommendations from this fan!

Well written, is pretty much an 8-12 year old girl book, but as a story it was good.

Bailey is a Camp Club Girl who is always on the hunt, to find another mystery that needs to be solved. There are many books in this series. Bailey, has four short stories to captivate your young pre-teen. Bailey is always getting into scrapes and needs the rest of the Camp Club Girls to help her out of this or that mess. Easy to read, delightful stories. I enjoyed it. A plus, that it's a Christian novel. I would feel completely comfortable with my young grandkids reading this one. I received a copy of this book from Barbour Publishing and was under no obligation to post a review.… (más)
