Supersister goes through her day being the best she can, and always helping her mother out. At the very end of the book, it is revealed that her mother is pregnant and hence why she needs help from Supersister.

This is a cute book for children about to become an older sibling for the first time (although it also might be fun for kids with additional younger siblings being introduced to their family). Because of that very specific audience, this is a book that works best for a family that is expanding, rather than in a storytime or classroom setting.

Everything the protagonist does is mostly typical day-to-day routine (e.g., eating breakfast, getting on the school bus etc.), but she does it with such gusto that it seems like an adventure from start to finish. Unlike many books for siblings-to-be, it focuses on what she can do before the baby arrives, instead of focusing on what changes after the baby comes home. While both are important, it's refreshing to see one in the former category.

The illustrations are as lively as the main character and evoke some of old standbys of the comics medium, including panels, without actually being a comic itself.
