The book consists of a dozen or so vignettes, each highlighting one aspect of the Kimberley (the towns, the coast, the ranges, the Gibb River Road, the boabs, ...) in which Jocelyn Burt recounts personal impressions and anecdotes of her trips to the region. It is obvious that she cares a lot about the area and feels great affection for the people living there. Her striking photographs give the text an additional dimension. Neroli Roberts's poems add an emotional touch to the whole.
