This is a potentially very interesting novel, I thought when reading the blurb. Mike, one of the main characters, gets lost in the Australian outback and lives with a tribe of aborigenes for a while. Paul, the other main character goes to find him. What could be more romantic?

The time Mike spends with the aborigines was interesting in places, if a bit stereotypical. But the mood and description of circumstances was good, and I enjoyed that part.Unfortunately there were also some issues (having sex without lube or even spit, inconsistencies, and lack in basic logic while Mike is with he aborigines) with the story. They bothered me too much to be able to enjoy reading it. Others may enjoy it more, but I was unable to suspend my disbelief enough.
