Virginia Pounds Brown

A somewhat dated but really well written review of the tribes living in the southern region from prehistoric times up until the Trail of Tears. It covers what was known in the 80's about the basics of who the people were, where they lived and the historical significance of the people. Also; it covers several of the important historical figures of that time.

One section of the book then reviews important cultural heritage sites by states, "current" events held by tribes in those states, and has a good reference section concerning further readings.

Overall a well written if high level review in which a lot of material is covered in an informative way.… (más)
