This is a fascinating book on scientific explanation. With exceptional clarity of thought the author discusses the relationship between explanations and the things we don't know. He utilizes mostly a linguistic perspective to study what counts as a scientifically valid answer to different types of questions. I haven't seen any similar work in other books on the philosophy of science, which is a shame.
