This was a quick and cute story about a dress that just happened to be named Tess. This was a dress for a very special girl, but Tess finds out that she has other friends as well. Any mother with small daughters can certainly attest to just how important a dress named Tess can be!

I read this book via an Amazon KINDLE download and the following is my honest opinion.

This book is a marvelous for young readers who are girls which their mothers can relate to when they had been that age. What girl hasn’t had a fancy party dress which they eventually wore every day when they got home from school and on weekends as they played pretend? And like the dolls and stuff animals which girls played pretend with all had names, so why not some of their clothes.

I found the way the clothes come to life reminiscent of the way all the toys in the Toy Story series come to life when everyone is asleep. The author usage of a rhyming scheme in the writing of her book aids in captivating and keeping the attention of its young readers; if you have any doubt, just think of how the books written by Dr. Seuss would have been if he didn’t write it rhyme.

The visual attributes of this book are aided by both the work done by the illustrator and the pictures of apparently the author’s daughter. For having given her young readers and their mothers a delightful and imaginative reading experience, I’ve given Ms. Brent 5 STARS for her endeavor here.
