Biografía breve: Jackie has been making up stories since she was in grade school, but she followed her father's sage advice to get a day job and attended college after leaving high school. She graduated with honors from Central Michigan University in 1987 with a degree in journalism.

After briefly flirting with a career in magazine publishing—she interned at Good Housekeeping in New York during college—she settled on working in newspapers. She began as a copyeditor at the Grand Rapids Press in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and the Niagara Gazette in Niagara Falls, New York. In 1991 she became the first female editorial writer at the Flint Journal in Flint, Michigan.

She began her own "happily ever after" in 1993 when she married her husband, Mark. They are the proud parents of two boys, Daniel and Will. She makes her home in mid-Michigan with family.

Published since 2000, Jackie decided to leave the Flint Journal in January 2004 to concentrate on fiction. She is the author of more than two dozen romance novels and novellas. She is a three-time RITA Award finalist, a four-time National Readers' Choice Awards finalist, the winner of a Rising Star Award in traditional romantic fiction and was nominated for Series Storyteller of the Year by RT Book Reviews in 2008.

Revenge Best Served Hot (Men of the Zodiac, #6)

A well written book about greed and ambition and goals at crossed swords. However can two people overcome all the pain and suffering of their pasts and set aside the negativity barking at their heels? At the source of it all is trust (and some very noble friends and motives). I enjoyed this book immensely and will be looking for the zodiac man with MY sign!

The Pretend Proposal (Harlequin Romance) por Jackie Braun

This was pretty good. The ending was kind of rushed, but sweet. The story starts with Thomas promising his seemingly ailing grandmother that he's finally settled down with a woman. The grandmother assumes he's getting married and wants to meet his fiance that weekend. So he has a week to find a woman to pose as his fiance. Being such a rich stud no woman is able to resist, he can't ask one of his usual women for fear they'd want something more. But fortunately, Elizabeth shows up to his offices, asking for a donation for her non profit organization. He offers her a donation in exchange for her help as his pretend fiance. She agrees, but immediately there are sparks. And neither of them know how long it can all stay pretend.

The story was pretty predictable. It ends pretty much how you'd expect it to. But it was sweet watching it all happen. I enjoyed this. It was a fun, quick read.… (más)

Boardroom Baby Surprise por Jackie Braun

In this book, Bryan and Morgan meet after she crashes his office looking for her baby daddy. She mistakenly thought it was him, but soon learns the man she's looking for gave her a fake name, is Morgan's brother, and is dead. Then she goes into labor, right there in his office. Bryan assumes Morgan is a gold digger and due to past history with his own lying, cheating ex spouse, doesn't trust her. But he feels responsible and helps take care of her and the baby. He starts to trust and realizes that maybe not all women are like his ex.

This got much better after Bryan started being a lot nicer to Morgan. I didn't like how he treated her at first. But as they grew closer, I started liking him more and more. Sweet story.… (más)
