The Dom with the Dragon Tattoo is the fifth book in the Masters of Submission series by Jan Bowles. I chose this book because I have read all the other books in the series and wanted to see what happens next.

Rebecca Myles keeps her private life and her work life far apart as possible. She was badly hurt by her last Dom which has made her wary of getting into any serious relationship in general. She is a very smart and confident woman. She knows what she wants in her professional life and goes for it.

Tyler Stone is not used to being turned down when I comes to business. He only wants the best and gets it. He is a handsome and dominating personality in and out of the bedroom.

One of the problems I had with this story was it is unrealistic that a boss is close friends to be invited to a gathering outside of work. Especially a company the size that was depicted. In addition, who really wants there boss to see them outside of work? Maybe I am different but work is work and personal life is personal life.

The chemistry between Rebecca and Tyler was off the charts. The sex scenes are very hot and spicy but there were not enough BDSM elements. I did not get the sensory deprivation tank. I know some people enjoy it but it was not believable that she adjusted so well in her first trip inside the tank.

This was a very well written story. I wish there was more description of BDSM elements in their relationship. Overall, this was a wonderful story and a great addition to the story. I cannot wait to read the next book in the series.

Snowed in with the Montana Ranger is the first book in the All-American Heroes series by Jan Bowles. I chose this book because I am a fan of Jan Bowles. I love how she brings such life and chemistry to her characters.

Brooke Johnson lost her first husband to her little sister. After a divorce she heads off to Montana for a research project. While she is there she meets Park Ranger Travis McTeer. Brooke does not want to get hurt again so she is very leery of getting involved with anyone. She is a very strong person. It takes a lot not to crumble when you go through what she did.

Travis is a Park Ranger at Glacier National park. Travis is attracted to Brooke from the moment they meet. While he enjoys his life the way it is, he realizes that Brooke is special.

Brooke and Travis work well together as they evade escaped criminals. I loved that they did not fall into bed together right away. It was very realistic that they tried to fight there attraction to each other. The chemistry between Travis and Brooke is off the charts in and out of the bedroom. I enjoyed how Brooke’s sister Ashleigh helped the characters be able to talk and deal with their trust issues.

I really liked this book. The only thing that would have made it better should have been for Brooke and her sister Ashleigh to come to a truce of some sort. This series has such promise I cannot wait for the next book in the series. I hope that we get to see more of Brooke and Travis as the series continues.

I’ve read Jan Bowles and I can honestly say that I haven’t been disappointed by any of her books yet, including this book I’m about to review. Jan Bowles, at least in my opinion, is right up there with Maya Banks and Shayla Black in the BDSM romance category. If you know anything about BDSM romance you know that Maya and Shayla are pretty much the best of the best.

This is the first in a series of books that she’s having published, although I didn’t know this was a series when I took on the assignment. You don’t need to read the whole series to understand what’s going on with each of the stories.

I think a running theme with Jan Bowles books is that the male hero, while not gentle towards the female protagonist, he’s not cruel toward her either. The reason why I bring this point up, is that the male protagonist in this book, Zane is a hard man, yet he wouldn’t purposely hurt Emma either physically nor emotionally. There is a scene in the beginning of the book that beautifully demonstrates what I’m trying to say. You’ll know what I mean when you read it and if you know Jan Bowles heroes (and even if you don’t), you’ll understand my meaning. Zane is a hard man, I need to say this again because he’s had a lot of emotional “stuff”, for lack of a better word, to have to deal with, so he needs to be this way. Yet, in true dom fashion, he’s extremely confident and he knows what he wants. Zane, deep down is a decent guy.

Then we have Emma, who’s a little repressed, a little shy,and extremely determined. She’s determined to be successful in her career, her law practice, and to find out the truth about her friend’s disappearance . I found myself drawn towards Emma, and I liked her very much. In true Jan Bowles form, the two protagonists form a very close emotionally and sexually intense bond rather quickly. I really like the emotional connection that the characters make because they really need each other throughout the book. I found the secondary characters entertaining as well. There are a whole cornucopia of characters you’ll meet from the club that touched my heart, and I hope yours as well.

Love Slave to the Sicilian Billionaire is the fourth book in the Guilty Pleasure series by Jan Bowles. I chose this book because I liked the author. I have read several of her books and they are all great.

Ella just lost her husband to suicide. She is drowning in her grief, so she acts out. Ella seems the type of person the needs the structure that being a submissive brings. The author did a great job with Ella’s emotions. They came across as very real and multidimensional. This character had depth that many authors do not go into.

Max is reeling from the death of his best friend and places the blame where he thinks it belongs at Kirk’s wife’s, Ella, feet. When Ella seeks him out he is reluctant to help her. Max does not want to betray a friend, even a dead one. After meeting her several months later he gives her a second chance.

Max character was a character that I truly liked. He did not abuse his power. He was a fair person that lived by his morals. Ella’s transformation from the beginning of the book to the end was nice to see. I love happy endings and the journey toward those happy endings. The chemistry these two had went beyond the bedroom.

The only thing that would have made this story better would have been if the author was clearer on the timeline. The time period popped up now and then and was very distracting to the overall story line. This is one of the few books that I will go back and read. I love this series and cannot wait to read more from Jan Bowles.
