There are several bibliographies of books for boys by genre.
There are very interesting sidebar quotes and illustrations throughout that provide supporting examples, direct experience, and just plain fun!
My favorite is on p 16 and is titled Snow White in Toronto. It is an illustration about a collaborative picture book project for 2nd grade boy and girl students. The author writes that "it represents for me the achievement of their common goal of constructing and telling a story through words and pictures".
That's true but it is also a good fairytale retold, and a damn funny one, that will be appreciated with a laugh or two and a smile by hockey lovers everywhere!
