Montana Bride by Linda Boorman is a sweet love story about a young woman who takes two orphaned children under her wing and travels to Montana to be the mail order bride of a settler who is logging the forest. She takes the place of the real mail order bride who is accidentally killed on the trail. He is bewitched by her beauty but she is not attracted to him but rather to his handsome best friend. Nevertheless, the two are quickly married and settle into the complicated situation of his discovery of her lies and her slow realization that she loves him.
