Her main premise is that stress overwhelms the person with ASD. I am so impressed with her description of the gentle techniques used for helping the many people who have come to her for help.
Judith, born in 1936, had autism at a time when few people (especially not girls) were diagnosed, and there were few treatments available. Her parents allowed her weird behaviors which were her way of making sense of the world, and that was her saving grace. She later studied neurology & researched explanations for what was going on.
