Peter Hapworth sees Isabelle (Izzy) Conway, celebrated enophile on her TV show and is entranced. Stagnating as an adjunct professor teaching composition to college freshmen, he needs a way to get out of his temporary life into adulthood. He writes Izzy some intriguing emails, they meet, fall in love, and marry within a few months. And then things begin to fall apart. They both have their baggage that gets hauled into their new Mexico town (Chicago) condo, and it blocks the hallways, stumps their toes, makes it nearly impossible for them to move forward, and may be just what they carry out of the marriage with them.

I loved the concept of this book. I've read so many romances written from the female's perspective, that I thought the guy's might be really refreshing. It was, initially. These are complicated people who can't quite figure out how to move out of what has come before, but long to make a life together. There's a lot of good wine information in here as well - I felt like I should take some note cards to keep in my purse, the next time I go wine shopping. I had to put it down about halfway through, however, more because I wasn't interested in going through all the emotional trauma that was ahead. I think this is a good book, just not a journey I was interested in taking.

I've got to admit I was only able to get to the end of Chapter 10 and could not finish this-- the whole no punctuation situation and the forever-running sentences were very exhausting.
