This was an informative book about the lifespan of a pumpkin starting from seed to the pumpkin itself. This book would be great for primary students and can be used to teach a fun lesson science lesson, especially around Halloween. The photographs were amazing, and the vocabulary was informative and easy for children to understand. Looking forward to using this in my future classroom.

Let’s follow the polar bears. Inside the den, waiting, waiting; finally, there are polar bear twins for Mother Polar Bear to feed and cuddle. At eight weeks or so, their eyes open; the twins can stand and they can walk on all four legs. It’s time to explore!

What will the polar bear twins discover?

This science-based book teaches young readers about the lives of polar bears from newborn cubs to grown bears ready to live on their own. As the story unfolds, the young reader learns about the polar bear’s habitat and observes their interaction with their environment. The softly colored, scientifically accurate illustrations are sure to delight the young reader.

A Scholastic Hello Reader! Science – Level 1, this oversized book with its rhyming text uses a large print that is easy for young children to read. Frequently used, familiar words [the, is, and] and phonetic skills for decoding new words support the young reader and help develop a love of reading. Colorful illustrations accompany the text and provide textual clues as the young reader interprets the pictures. The goal of Hello Reader! Books is for children to read fluently and independently. A page of suggested activities for interacting with the book before, during, and after reading is included in the book.

Recommended.
