A London tabloid reporter comes to Hollywood to oversee her friends talent agency while she is in Rio. While business sitting she makes many connections.

I choose to read this book because I have read others in the series and have said “it is a reading slump breaker” and I needed a break. Fun! Relaxing! Energizing!

Review: OOPS! I’m The Paparazzi by De-Ann Black.

This was a short novella that I read in one setting. The story was enjoyable, well written, and the characters were likable. I wish the story would have been longer and I felt it was more a fairytale than a romance. The story may not have been believable but the main character’s dilemmas, situations, the decisions she makes, and the challenges she takes are believable.

Phred, the main character was great. She was an amazing, talented jack-of-all trade’s type of person with a likable kind of humor. She was also spontaneous and lived on the edge of falling unsecured. At first the main focus was that she was a reporter for a newspaper but her boss wanted her to switch over to being a Paparazzi, and she argued that’s not what she wanted. Both, herself and her boss were stubborn and neither one would change their mind. Just like that…Phred was out of a job….

Her last job with the newspaper was a Paparazzi’s job, that she didn’t want to do, but it just happened to work out fine for her because it lead her in the direction of a new successful career. She met a talented actor and his agent who turned her from a meek shabby Cinderella to a bright classy editor, with beautiful ruby shoes, who was now living on the other end of the spectrum…..but what I liked, was that it never changed her character……

Jenny the Jinx, also known as Neve must find a new job, she has jinxed herself out of her last of many. Her live-in boyfriend sneers at her attempts to turn her life around. So to spite him she takes a job as a secret agent.

I read this book to fulfill a challenge and enjoyed it. It is a reading slump breaker, light-hearted froth that speeds on its way, taking the dark clouds away.

Chick-lit, escapist fun!. I wanted something light before going to sleep. I thought I would read a couple of chapters instead I read the entire book. Romance and humor, no sex scenes so great for every age. I enjoyed it very much!
