Landry Hutton and her daughter have been living a quiet unassuming life in Gossamer Falls. Landry is an artist in residence at an exclusive resort and she will finally have enough money to build a house of their own. The contractor she chooses to build her house turns out to be a wonderful human as well as contractor. He takes Landry and her 5 year old daughter under his wing and has soon introduced her to his entire extended family. Landry ran from a troubled past and has no family to speak of so she is incredibly grateful. When a fire at the resort takes out most of her pottery inventory - she begins to wonder if it's an accident or if its personal. Good thing her contractor. neighbor/ former marine has her best interests at heart. Speaking of hearts - could what they've both been running from bring them together? This is my first novel by Lynn H. Blackburn, and I am hooked! Never Fall Again was a fantastic romantic suspense. The characters in this book are so well-developed and written, that you’ll feel like you’re a part of one of the big, overbearing-yet-charming families of Gossamer Falls before you finish the first two chapters. The suspense is realistic and palpable, making me turn pages past my bedtime. Plus the slow-burn romance between Cal and Landry is worth waiting for!
Overall, as a fan of romantic suspense, I’d highly recommend Never Fall Again. It is everything I’ve come to love in the romantic suspense genre! I’m so glad to have found Lynn H. Blackburn, and look forward to her storytelling in the next book in the series. (Can I hope it’s Mo’s story, please!?!)

Never Fall Again is the first book in the Gossamer Falls series by Lynn H. Blackburn. This is a well written, fun and easy to read story that is filled with action, suspense, mystery and touches of romance. This story caught my attention right from the start and held it to the very end, and left me wishing for more. I look forward to reading the rest of the series.

I enjoyed reading of the history behind the families in Gossamer Falls and the way the younger members of the families feel about the long held feelings between the families. This story lightly touches on sensitive subjects as Laundry reveals the history with her late husband, her fear of his family and the obsession of the person behind the happenings at The Haven. This is a wonderful story of second chances for both Laundry and Cal. It also shows how caring and helpful the Shaw family is with welcoming others into their family.
