- Hildred Billings is a Japanese and Religious Studies scholar who has spent her entire life knowing she would write for a living someday. She has lived in Japan a total of three times in three different locations, from the heights of the Japanese alps to the hectic Tokyo suburbs, with a life in Shikoku somewhere in there too. When she's not writing, however, she spends most of her time talking about Asian pop music, cats, and bad 80's fantasy movies with anyone who will listen...or not.
Her writing centers around themes of redemption, sexuality, and death, sometimes all at once. Although she enjoys writing in the genre of fantasy the most, she strives to show as much reality as possible through her characters and situations, since she's a furious realist herself.
Currently, Hildred lives in Oregon with her cat, with dreams of maybe having another human around someday.

I've GOT to find better naughty novels to read. I'm so frustrated by Stones books and yet I continue to read them because they're what I have access to. Look this could have had the heat but it just fell short. The sex scenes are just one way and don't really pack the heat promised. I also don't particularly like that theres no check in and communication except for what they text, there wasn't any real conversation face to face. I know this is meant to be spicy, and sometimes the naughty shit breaks all the rules. But I like my kink healthy and with full communication... and this wasn't it, once again. >.>… (más)
Apparently I've read this before and wasn't entirely sure, it was just that luke warm that nothing really stood out from the run of the mill genre.... Overall a short but okay story, it was lacking in plot... and the porn so this wouldn't even count as a PWP for me. The whole premise of the "plot" was barely believable too, I also didn't really apreciate the fact that most of the sex scenes felt really short and glazed over, with more than a few fade to black scenes. Definitely not my favorite of Anna Stone's work... but definitely very similar to the other ones.… (más)
Julia is very flat and marry sue-ish.... her role in the sex scenes just seems to be a recepticle and not really an active partispant. Oh and a PR person that's having moral quibbles and shock/outrage about bribes and what not doesn't really seem to fit with the job at all.
Parker has got some nasty traits... her unhealthy copping issues with her life and how she treats Julia isn't really something I find kosher. She comes off pretty arogant and just wasteful... she throws money and people away and I'm not really seeing enough personal growth to help balance out the yuck.
The sex scenes are okay but a little uninspired.... a lot of details are glazed over or finished before they really seemed like they were done.

A light romance and an interesting premise for a town and a series.
