This great little reference book will help you make your own cleaners from natural ingredients and remove some of those dangerous chemicals from your life. Amazing what you can do with just a little vinegar, lemon, and olive oil! There's even a recipe for making your own car wax paste! I will say, the book has become a little dated since there are so many commercial nontoxic alternatives today whereas they were fairly novel in 1990. This is an excellent guide for a less toxic living approach. It provides you with 868 easy to make natural and chemical free formulas for Household Cleaners, Skin & Hair Care, Lawn and Garden Care, Paint, Art Projects and so much more. It's a great resource to have around. I really liked how most of the recipes only call for a couple of ingredients and are really easy to make. And best of all they work too. One of my favorites is the Aloe Vera Moisturizer with Avocado Oil. It's the only Moisturizer I still use for my face and it works great!
