The Awakening - Into the Fire: The Frozen Flame Prequels, my seventh highly enjoyable read from author Paul J. Bennett who has risen to near the top of my list of favorite fantasy authors. When I want to read epic fantasy, I look for author Paul J. Bennett. Slow to start, but when it took off, I couldn't turn pages fast enough with 33 books written, I need to get going & read more by him. Allow at least two days for this paranormal fantasy, Book 11 in the Heir to the Crown series, but it works fine as a standalone. It starts in autumn 966 with palace intrigue meeting real politique and runs until autumn 967. I had an ARC via Bookfunnel and this is my voluntary review.
