Book Title: Someone's Story
Author: B.A.Bellec
Format: Kindle

Book Title:
The title of the book ' Someone's Story' is abstract and interesting

Book Cover:
The cover image of the book is a person standing under a tree with the vast sky and stars above. The colorful image gives a cosmic look.

My review:
The book is about Someone. That someone can be anyone. Though this statement looks ambiguous, the stretch at which the author has written the story is incomparable. A character with a pronoun as a name takes the readers into a journey of human emotions is extremely fascinating. There is love, friendship, tears, happiness, realization, and more such emotions portrayed by the character(s) in the story. With a good amount of drama, the story is a nice evening read.

What I like:
1. The abstract way of writing that reminded me of Kafka at some places
2. The literary liberty without losing the semantics and syntax is much appreciated
3. The portrayal of human feelings and emotions

What I didn't like:
There is nothing to dislike. But, readers who are used to a particular format o reading may find the story unreadable.

Characters:
There are some books where characters play an important role. There are also some stories where the basic nature of the character plays an important role. Here, in this book, such a climate is created. The central character which talks to the reader, named 'Someone', creates a great amount of depth that which a reader will get connected instantly.

Narration:
A very engaging narration is found in the story.

Language & Grammar:
Colloquial language with good vocabulary is observed in the story.

My Final Verdict:
A touching yet inspiring story!

When I saw the comparisons of Black Mirror, and X-Files, I had to jump on checking out this book. I am a fan of both shows. X-Files big time. My dad and I used to faithfully watch this show and have seen all of the movies that were made as well. Back to the book. So, I did see elements of Black Mirror and X-Files in this book which I was pleased with. One thing that I did want to mention is the book cover. It was giving me the movie District 9 vibes.

When it came to the overall story through, I felt like it did not really pick up for me until midway of Part Three. This is about the halfway point of the book. Up until this point, the story was more of a slow tease. When I got to Part Three is when the story really picked up and moved along at a faster pace. The fear is real.

Lastly, I never formed a strong connection to any of the characters. So, I did find myself not as emotionally invested in the book. Yet, there was still enough good elements I liked about this book that I would read another by Mr. Bellec.

An interesting tale of dystopian horror and creatures. The plot starts with an interesting thrill, but somewhere in the middle slows down a bit. Finally, after a few turns it picks up its pace to the climax. I liked the book as it had everything from horror to politics to action and adventure. The only drawback was that it is a multi POV book, which makes it a little hard to read. Otherwise, the book is good for dystopian horror lovers.

I would like to give 4 stars to the book. Thanks to @Booktasters for providing me an opportunity to read and review the book.… (más)

Name: Someone's Story
Author: B.A.Bellec
Genre: Coming of Age, YA, Teenage Drama, Self-discovery, Friendship

Review:
Unique, Intriguing and Inspiring. Someone's Story is a coming of age novels which deals with teenage problems, friendship, love, understanding and growing up.

The story begins with a teenage boy moving to a new town with his father. He tries to adjust in the new town, befriending a man named Kevin, who helps him in adjusting to the new town and calm his anxiety. The protagonist makes new friends and find himself surrounded by people, who have their own problems in their lives.

The story is pretty much about the lives of these teenagers who struggles with their lives and find help, care and understanding with each other. Though it may seem simple, it is full of plot twists and is truly engaging. It will make you indulge into the story and will make you wonder throughout the pages of the book.

The perspective is vivid and the protagonist is alot relatable. The characters are pretty good and have their own story as well, it makes the plot alot more diverse and inclusive.

The language is simple and the writing style is unique, written alternatively between narration and dialogue formation. The first thing that pretty amazing about this book is that we don't know that protagonist's name. Throughout the pages, the protagonist would refer to himself as "Someone". So, the title perfectly fits the story.
