Great recipes from Rancho Gordo (which sells heirloom beans)
I don't the ebook format works all that great for cookbooks, at least not on my little phone. At least, it doesn't lend itself to browsing. I did make -- and enjoy! -- one recipe, a noodle salad that made a good lunch.
I have purchased Rancho Gordo beans, and they are delicious. I discovered this book while exploring their website and was delighted that my local library owns a copy.
While I haven't tried any of the recipes yet, I have bookmarked quite a few of them. I'm always looking for new ways to cook beans, which are one of the staples of my diet.
Lots of the recipes, especially the entrees, call for dead animals, so it's definitely not a veg friendly cookbook. However, I think that many of these recipes can be amended and I intend to do just that.… (más)
