Parts 3 and 4 of the Doomstones Campaign might be a bit of a slog for the players. The first part, Death Rock' is a fairly standard adventure, a treasure hunt that will bore fighting players and doesn't really make a lot of sense, going on against a siege that has some great moments but won't challenge. This underwhelming adventure leads into a dull dungeon full of repetitive traps livened up by two warring clans of dwarves that you could help or hinder. Many of the traps are too hard to find and too deadly, whilst many are too easy to find or a bit pointless. There aren't really any fun fights either. So a damp squib at best!… (más)
The first half, Fire in the Mountains, is a decent and interesting quest that I will be adapting for my table, but the second isn't quite so good. Its a killer dungeon that might be too hard for modern players, with some interesting ideas for getting there in the first place, but if reading it felt a grind then playing it might also be hard work.
