Biografía breve
From humble beginnings, including parents who could not afford to put him through school; Albert Barillé's first job in the audio-visual industry was in Latin American feature films which he produced and distributed through his own company Procidis - which still exists today.
During the 1960's he decided to move into television, which he saw as being 'the future'. He felt that children's programs at the time were lacking in substance and so he set about changing that. In 1969 his self funded animated series Colargol became an instant success. Following this he began creating the first of his long running animated series "once upon a time..." starting with ":Man" which was aired every day in 5 minute segments on French TV prior to the main News before the episode was shown in it's entirety on the Saturday. This was the first animated television series and Albert Barillé is recognised as the father of educational entertainment.
