He has a master's degree in criminology and has written many articles on the history of crime and punishment for magazine in the UK and USA. Murder and Crime in Lancashire (Murder & Crime) por Martin Baggoley
Although beautifully produced and well laid out, this books is nothing more than a collection of the known facts about various cases of murder in Lancashire. It adds no context to any of them, to describe, for instance, why a businessman may have convinced his lover to kill their illegitimate child or why the Home Secretary would pardon one young murderer but not another. With more background this would be a much better book.
