The book really intends to reach all audiences of those in the beginning / intermediate experience levels, so you may find things that are more or less relevant depending on your previous experience with triathlon or other organized racing (running, cycling, or swimming).
This book also makes the annoying assumption that "Every Woman" = straight, married woman with children. If that does not fit your description, I suggest being ready to skim over several sections in this book.
However, the author is extremely judgmental about body size and food intake. She admits to struggling with body issues and binge eating, which I understand and can empathize with. However, the book tends to be a "you go girl" kind of motivational book, so to have so much of the book liberally salted with comments judging body size, equating weight with health, and judging the moral value of different types of food, is counter-productive and disappointing.
How is somebody supposed to take seriously the implication to "start now, regardless of your size!" with all of the moral judgement against certain types of food (notably: fast food and sweets) and being fat? I realize she's not saying "you, the reader, are fat, and that is bad" but when she implies "I, the author, am fat, and that is bad" it's hard not to take that personally.
