I would use this book in a first, second, third, fourth, fifth, or sixth grade classroom because since there are so many poems within the book, the book can be used for many grade levels. I would use this book as a mentor text to start a lesson on poetry. I would pull poems from this book and would read them to the class, then with the class, and then have them read the poems. Since there are so many different types of poetry found within the text, it can be used to teach about many things, such as types of poetry.
