Which one of us reading this review as a child has never been afraid of the dark? I for one have.
I’d been afraid the bogey-man would come out of my door, I’d been afraid of a monstrous creature waiting to pounce and then devour me the moment I would close my eyes. Even the slightest sound would seem to be menacing me as well. Which is why this book has resonated with my inner-child.
Even as an adult when I first cat I owned would walk across my back as I slept, I had visions of my childhood appearing in my head, which woke me up, only to find my cat innocently looking at me.
This book reminded my inner-child of mother coming to and assuring me there was never nothing there by turning on the room’s light, opening the closet, and looking under the bed with me.
As an adult I believe this book is an indispensable bedtime story which can help eliminate a child’s nighttime of going to sleep in the dark. For having reminded me of my own fears at that early age and for wanting to help parents deal with their children’s fear, I’ve given Lisbeth Antionette 5 STARS for her endeavor here.… (más)
