writer - Biografía breve
- Anne of France was the eldest surviving child of King Louis XI of France and Charlotte of Savoy. In 1473, at the age of 12, she was married to Pierre de Bourbon, seigneur de Beaujeu. After the death of her father, Anne acted with her husband as regents for her younger brother Charles VIII until 1491, making her one of the most powerful women of the 15th century. Anne was noted for her energy, courage, and political savvy in governing both the country and the young king. She also was responsible for the upbringing of many young French noblewomen, including Diane de Poitiers and Louise of Savoy. Her book "Lessons for My Daughter" was written for her only child Suzanne de Bourbon.
