Amelia Allen-Ray

While this book is definitely a different and interesting take on biblical rapture, but I have to admit that at times it is as hard to assimilate as the bible. The story is actually quite good, but it reads as if it is a later installment in a series and the reader is constantly playing catch up. The missing details do get filled in eventually, in a series of flashbacks that aren't clearly delineated from the present day story, or in conversations in the present that clearly take away from the forward movement of the plot. Too many plotlines were in play for most of the book and that made for laborious reading. Ms. Allen-Ray is obviously a talented writer, however, I think that she just tried to put too much into this novel.
