This is a book clearly meant for children that covers the great civilizations of the East, offering on each page pedagogical activities.

However, it is fairly detailed and gives a good feel for the civilizations it describes. I use it a handy reference book when I am writing; the closeups on objects as well as the 3D-illustrations depicting the typical housing of the period are very useful.
