The author related the concepts of magnetism with everyday life and excites the reader with attractive pictures which clarify the concepts of the reader very clearly.
One really nice part of the book is the experimental section in which Nigel Alexander describes the principal mechanism with the help of an experiments so that the reader do not get bore while reading and the author influence over the creative work by describing various interesting experiments that how to build your own crane, how to make model theatre, floating magnets in air and how to make buzzer by using magnets and so on.
