A. L. Alexander (1906–1967)

I'm giving this collection a high rating, not because each poem in the anthology is worth five stars, but because so many wonderful poems are included. It is true that a few a the most included poets have written drivel... But it is easy to turn the page.

For years I have heard the poem "Outwitted" attributed to George Manly Hopkins. How nice to finally see it in print attributed properly to George Markham!
