Contemporary artist, cartoonist, illustrator, teacher, novelist/essayist, photographer, Genpei Akasegawa (1937-2014) is an artist with many faces. In 1960, along with Ushio Shinohara, Shusaku Arakawa, and Masunobu Yoshimura, he participated in the formation of "Neo Dadaism Organizers", and three years later, Jiro Takamatsu and Natsuyuki Nakanishi joined the activities of "Hi Red Center".
