Easy to read. Nice guide for advise. It gives some stories of how things go wrong. The dangers of escalation. Than gives practical advice on what to do.

Hey, check it out, I'm the first and only person to review this book - so far.

Bill Adler attempts to understand boys and their relationship with toys. It's rather interesting to see his opinions and ideas but I don't necessarily agree with most of them.

He had a small chapter on shoes which might have the best part. I never understood why a woman would put her feet under so much pain just to look good. Or why she would have a roomful of shoes and then lament she has not shoes to wear.

Now, I get it.

Book is probably more a 2.5 in my book. Book does read somewhat amateurish - I'm not meaning that in a bad way. Many books just come across with a polished feel wiping out the author's true voice.

The stories may be dated now, but I was looking for something to listen to during my morning walk. This previously unread time travel anthology in my library served that need. Authors, many of whom are dead, wrote these short stories at the start of their careers. I think the thing that's different about old Sci-Fi is that authors didn't spend pages of text explicitly talking about pseudo-science in those days. What you read was pure fiction that left you wondering about the possibilities.

An amusing, quick read with some truly good info, but the topic doesn't bear book length discussion and the list of 101 stratagems seems to be included because the book needed a clever subtitle rather than for any real purpose.
