Biografía breve
Charlie Adhara writes contemporary, mystery, paranormal, queer romance. Or some assortment of that. Whatever the genre, her stories feature imperfect people stumbling around, tripping over trouble and falling in love. Charlie has done a fair amount of stumbling around herself but tends to find her way back to the northeast U.S. After all, home is where the dog is.

This is a weird one for me. First of all, Cooper drove me nuts with the internal monologue. It was circular and negative even when he was thinking his father did the best he could, the tone was that his dad had abused him horribly. I was not even sure he was out because of the internal rambling. Another part was his professional behavior. Petty, insecure - reactionary not proactive. If he was a profiler . . . yeah not researched well.
The second part was the mystery was well-built and had elements that I did not see coming and they were not the lame type of "where the heck did that come from?"
So on one hand I hated the MC and on the other hand, I enjoyed the mystery.
Final result? I deleted the rest of the books in that series from my book as I could not bring myself to read them, maybe another day? But for now - 3/5 for a lousy character.

I love this! The mystery was great, Ollie and Cooper are wonderful, the background for each of them is great... It's funny and sweet and heart-wrenching, and touches on problems with the American justice system and police brutality in good ways. Overall, great book. Loving book 2 right now, as well.

Excellent book! The mystery was great, the relationship development was wonderful. I loved going more into Cooper's past, and the use of kink was interesting. I think some of the writing was a little less polished than the previous book, and some of the emotional stuff was brushed over a bit too easily, but overall it was a great read, and I loved the humor and snark. Excited for book 3.

What a great finish to an amazing series! Cooper and Oliver's relationship develops so beautifully. We see more of Boogie, and we see Cooper with Boogie. The delving into the wolf world is lovely. The mystery is great. There's tons of humor and great snark. Cooper and Oliver have come so far and I'm so happy for them. Overall, love it.
