Here's to hoping that The Rule Book is even better than The Cheat Sheet.

I saw that this is now being “revised” with a traditional publisher. Idk that I think of that yet. So far, I’m 0/2 on her trad-published books.

I am really conflicted. There were aspects of this book that I really liked and others...not so much.
The writing really stood out to me. The best I can describe it is playful. It was never overbearing or heavy and was full of humor and funny moments. It quickly drew me in.
The plot had me laughing a lot. The characters did all sorts of things and that epilogue--I called it. (and I was right!)
Now, I am in the minority here, but I did not really like Ryan. I felt like he was only there for romance and no other purpose. He was also quite a bit overbearing and I was not a fan of that.
Overall, I probably won't read again but I definitely want to read more of Adams's work simply for the writing style and humor.

December 2023: I don't see how a trad publisher picking up this book will do it any good. It was already so good to begin with.

Also, I didn’t expect that much in terms of romance.
So far, I think that all of the author’s Indie pub books are significantly better than the trad books. I still have hopes for The Rule Book though since it is a companion to The Cheat Sheet, which was originally Indie published.
