Teen Valour is an exciting, children's action adventure book for young adults 12+. It was intended to be the first book of a trilogy.

Adam Cranford is a young teen-age boy of exceptional intelligence whose penchant for sophisticated pranks garner the attention of a secret international organization whose underground network trains young recruits to become part of a force fighting for good and the survival of the planet. Upon being expelled from school for one of his pranks, Adam and his family are contacted by the organization, The Foundation and offer Adam the enviable position of becoming one of their young cadets. Included in this offer is a spot in the best school in the area. Adam joins their forces and quickly rises up the ranks becoming the youngest recruit in their history to be appointed to their highest rank for his extraordinary leadership abilities. Those abilities are desperately needed when a group of eco-terrorists stages an elaborate kidnapping that puts not only the lives of the 30 chidren taken, but the population of the entire world is at risk as their plot is much bigger and involves much more than a kidnapping.

The book is well written and the action, especially in the last section of the book, is non stop and detailed.

Although third in the series this book definitely stands well on it's own if, like me, you haven't read it's prequals.
It moves at a fast pace with plenty of drama to keep you turning the pages, but is certainly aimed at the younger audience with minimal violence and brutality.
I also loved the way the text was laid out - it helped draw you in and made a pleasant change from the more traditional typesetting.
I may have to go and look up the previous two books now....

Though this is the 3rd book in the series, it is the first I have read, but I didn’t feel I had missed anything. So nice when you don’t have to go back and find the first two - just to understand what is going on.

``Dangerous Donkeys`` is the story of teenage ‘agents’, male and female, finding ways to help the world. Sometimes they find themselves in downright dangerous situations, and the author has found clever solutions to difficult circumstances.

I quite enjoyed this “Young Adult” book! Alaric Adair’s “Dangerous Donkeys” is full of action and flows well throughout. The main characters are teenagers, and are very well developed. Once I got into the story I had to keep reading to discover how it ended.

The violence is minimal, there isn’t any foul language and I would be happy to gift this book to a teenager in my life.

I received this book for free from a librarything.com draw.
