One day, Nicholas t is cursed by a witch and switches body with his cat for a day. He explores his neighborhood as a cat, gets in an argument with three other cats, and ran from a dog. Nicholas's cat, in his body, has a very confusing day at school.
This book would make a great creative writing topic.

This is a great book to read to student for fun about a witch who enters a little boys bedroom! ( )

Me and My Cat tells the story of the a young boy who had a spell casted on him that turned him into a cat! He experienced the day in the life of cat and was eventually run down by dogs. He then quickly realizes that being a cat is a lot harder than he thought. This is such a good book to teach a lesson to kids to "put yourself in someone's shoes" before making a judgement. He completely misunderstood the cat life until being placed in his cats shoes. ( )

A witch casted a spell on a young boy by switching the cat with the boy. The boy (in the cats body) experiences what its like to be a cat. He doesn't think its so bad until he gets in a cat fight and then chased down by the dogs. He didn't realize how challenging it was to be the cat. I think this book is a great way to make students realize different point of views. It makes one realize people have different thoughts and views. They eventually get switched back and the book ends with the teacher acting like a cat. Hopefully they have another book. ( )

One night a witch visited Nicholas's house in the middle of the night. The next morning Nicholas was watching his mother drag him out of bed to get ready and then out to the school bus to leave for school, but when Nicholas had left, he was still home? Nicholas realized that he was stuck inside his cat's body! He realized maybe it wasn't such a bad thing because he didn't have to go to school. Instead, Nicholas hopped around the house, from the bookshelf to the kitchen table to the cupboard. After he knocked down the cupboard, his mother threw him out. He was greeted by the neighbor's cat with a few licks to the face and he took a walk around the neighborhood that involved a catfight and almost becoming his neighbor's dog's lunch! When Nicholas made it back home, he noticed Nicholas's body was back home and trying to get inside through the cat door. All evening, Nicholas was acting strange so his mother called the doctor to examine him and the doctor couldn't find anything wrong. That night the witch returned, said some more weird words, and disappeared again. The next morning Nicholas was back in his body and back to normal until Nicholas got to school and noticed his teacher acting strange.

This was an extremely silly story. I'm sure younger children would love this story because of the magic in it as well as the humor. I wish there was more to this story, like a message or at least Nicholas missing being in his old body. I did like the ending though with the witch coming back and apologizing for coming to the wrong address and then the teacher acting like a cat the next morning. I even laughed a little at that, so I know for sure kids would be laughing their butts off. ( )
