I think teens and young adults were just getting the hang of being angsty and aimless. I thing this graphic novel got the angsty and aimless down well - but either it didn't age well, or I didn't and I'm not the right audience anymore. Honestly, I think it just tried too hard. I think had I read it back 20 years ago, I would have thought the same. Plus, I think by the time Ghost World was released, it was just riding the coat tails of other books and films that did it first and did it better. ( ) Well. That happened. That's about all I can say. Two teenage girls do a lot of talking without much substance. It's supposed to be funny but I missed the jokes. I don't actually fault the author for this - I think I'm just not the target audience, despite having been more or less the same age as the protagonists at the time the story is set. There was a bit of nostalgia - I recognized a lot of the attitudes from the 1990s - but by and large it just wasn't for me. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

Nominated for an Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay and written by original author Daniel Clowes and director Terry Zwigoff, this screenplay re-imagines Clowes's universally lauded comic book as an exhilarating, expansive variant, while maintaining the hilarious melancholic tone of the source novella. Included is the original shooting script, with over thirty pages of material not used in the final film, along with a 16-page full-colour section featuring rare artwork, production drawings, photographs of the cast and crew, and annotations by the screenwriters.
